At UTL DS Ltd, we’re thrilled to support Panshanger FC, one of our fantastic local youth football clubs in Welwyn Garden City.
Founded in 1969, Panshanger FC is one of the oldest and largest grassroots youth clubs in the South East, celebrating over 55 years of dedication to the beautiful game. With a clear mission to provide boys and girls from the community with opportunities to play, develop skills, and build lifelong values like discipline, teamwork, and resilience, the club is a true beacon of volunteer-driven passion.
Powered by an incredible team of around 95 volunteer coaches and managers, Panshanger fields over 40 teams and supports nearly 500 players aged U7 to U18, competing in leagues across Hertfordshire and Mid Herts. Among those dedicated volunteers is our own Head of Service Manager, Dave Pomfret, who manages the Under-13 boys’ team with enthusiasm and commitment.
The club’s success stories inspire us all. One standout example is the journey of a team that began as Welwyn Pegasus in 2021, achieving an unbeaten season in the Hertfordshire Youth League while winning both the League Cup and the Welwyn Garden City Youth Cup. Evolving into the Panshanger Jaguars by 2024, they continued their dominance by securing the Mid Herts Division 5 title, earning promotion to Division 4, and retaining their tournament success for consecutive years.
These achievements highlight the hard work, resilience, and pure love for football that define Panshanger FC.
